Bleh that is disturbing D: I mean, in my medical classes we had to dissect things, and bones and such for learning purposes, and our professors always stressed that those things should be treated with respect. Making a a fursuit out of wolf fur or using it for any kind of material thing like that is totally disrespectful and just disgusting o__o

I agree. I find disturbing to see stuffed animals, furs and so on... it's so sad As you say, they WAS cute/beautiful... when they was alive! Few month ago I saw here on DA a fox (or coyote, I don't remember) fur and some bones as a prize for the first place of a contest... really distasteful!

io credo di aver avuto un piccolo trauma da piccola in questo senso..XD Quando ero piccola mio zio con mia cugina mi ha portato a uno di quei grotti in montagna.. aveva una stanza piena dicervi (maschi.. femmine.. piccoli) appesi a testa in giù con il sangue che colava.. e di fianco a quelli c'era un cerbiattino di due mesi (circa.. era piccolissimo)impagliato.. ci ho fatto incubi per anni X'

NOn subito che siano cose buone per questioni di studio (e per il disegno) ma.. non so.. io in casa cose del genere non ne terrei mai @__@

Cioè io posso capire se ti fai un giro in montagna e trovi qualcosa (io aevo trovato un teschio di stambecco o simili) e vuoi tenerlo per studiarlo ecc...
ma comprare pelli e ossa di animali allevati per quello... tristezza.

i have always wanted to help animals, and fur coats are just so .. asdfgh, fuckin' stupid.
humans _can_ use plants etc to make clothes, so there is no need to kill animals because of that. u_u
... and naming some death animals, and that stuff - it makes me sick D|

nowadays, if i see a woman wearing a fur coat, i would just like to rip it off or paint with somethin'. D8<</sup>

I've never liked seeing stuffed animals in houses, (especially in the dining room >.< ..it seems very sick to me, like having your grandmother suffed and displayed. Ok, I know some people actually do that, but at least it's not in their living room (..hopefully). I can undestand the idea for natural history musiums, but they still creap me out, and I don't like looking at those displys.

As for fur coats.. I have two minds on it.. I mean we wear lever right? That's the same thing. :/ I don't like the idea of killing animals JUST for fur coats, but if that animal is dead anyway (died natually or killed for other reasons), does it really make a difference? It's a hard one. What fightens me the most I think is that someone might say see someone wareing an 'eithical' coat then go kill an animal for a similar one and start the whole fad all over again. The problem from the other side is however that if a wild animal has no use to humans it's actually very hard to perswad people to conserve them... so making fur coats from them can actually be good... because locals see that snow leopard as a resource (to be protected) not a not a monster that eat's their goats (to be destoyied).

These days though I think the synthestics are so good there's really no excuse to have real fur. I've seen ones that look, touch, and feel like the real thing.. probably better since most furs go through a long process (usually using urine!) to get them to feel like we want them to.
